Samsung Develops Split Mobile Phone Display

Samsung has developed a split mobile phone display.
The idea is to save power consumption and be able to display mobile phone status information even in standby mode. To top area of the display is used to show icons, the large lower part is for images and the full user interface of the phone.
First Samsung mobile phones with a section display are expecting in the 3rd quarter of this year.

Samsung launched their 5MP camera mobile phone SPH-V7800 a couple weeks ago in Korea.
