Pantech announced today that it has launched the PH-S8000T, the first smartphone to be introduced to Korea.

It surprising that Korea did not have yet a smartphone on the market. 3D gaming, digital TV and high resolution camera phones were apparently more important.
The Pantech PH-S8000T Windows smartphone runs Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition on an Intel Bulverde 400Mhz Processor. The PH-S8000T features a 1.3MP digital camera, 128MB ROM, and 32MB RAM. It weighs 141.2g and measures 91.7x49.2x25.9mm.
The PH-S8000T will be available in July. The expected retail price will be approximately KRW 450,000-500,000 (~$480).
