So there was this MOTONOW event yesterday and still no launch of the iTunes music phone.

iLounge had a reporter at the press-conference. He reported that Zander read a Apple statement at the beginning. In the statement it says that the iTunes phone will be unveiled at a separate music event within the next 66 days, and shipped this quarter.

What has been announced is that there will be more than one ROKR music phone.
The Motorola press-release says about the ROKR:
"Motorola highlighted their upcoming portfolio of music phones, targeted to millions of music lovers around the globe. The ROKR family will include phones that offer dedicated music keys, optimized music player interface, superior audio capability, extensive memory (internal or removable), and a long battery life. "

There has been a rumor a couple weeks ago that the iTunes phone will be announced at the V music festival in August. So maybe that could be it.
