Engadget has it covered when it comes to photos and videos of the unannounced Palm Treo 670 that runs not the Palm OS, but Windows Mobile.

So what to make of this? Palm is of course since the split between Hardware and Software units independent from Palm Source which develops the Palm OS.
Still I do not think Palm Source is very happy about this move. For Palm this can definitely open new markets. There are tons of users out their that are sworn in on Microsoft Windows. The Treo hardware is very decent, which will make Palm a great contender in the Windows Mobile device space.
Is this the end of Palm OS? I do not know. It is for sure not helping. The Windows Palm Treo 670 would be competing with the Motorola Q or the HTC Universal.
