New Cornice Storage Element (SE) Brings Cost Of Highly Functional Consumer Electronics Devices To New, Lower Price Points.
Available to electronic device manufacturers today, the first-generation Cornice SE features 1.5 gigabytes of storage, which is roughly equivalent to 30 compact discs of music, two hours of VHS-quality MPEG digital video, 80 video games instead of one on a handheld player, or over 135 raw, four-megapixel maximum-quality digital camera images (TIFF).
The Cornice Storage Element (SE), when integrated into a new generation of versatile mobile devices, brings new levels of affordability and content capacity to consumer electronics products. Current companies with plans to utilize the Cornice SE in future products include: Digitalway, iRiver, Rio (SONICblue) and Thomson.
