As mentioned yesterday Panasonic announced at the IFA 2005 a digital camcorder called Panasonic SDR-S100.
LetsGoDigital has more details and photos of the new Panasonic digital camcorder that competes with the Sanyo Xacti digital camcorders with it's form factor. From the performance it competes with the JVC Everio 3CCD digital HDD camcorders. The Panasonic SDR-S100 is the world's first 3CCD SD camcorder.
The SDR-S100 records high-quality MPEG2 video onto SD Memory Cards, and features a high-performance Leica Dicomar lens, 10X optical zoom and Optical Image Stabilization, 16:9 aspect ratio and a 2.8 inch screen.
Digital video recording on memory cards or Hard drives is here. Tape recording is yesterday.
