Amazon UK and Amazon Germany are listing the new slick iRiver U10 portable media player.

We reported in early July that the iRiver U10 would be released in August in the UK. Well it got a bit later. Amazon UK offers the iRiver U10 for pre-order with a September 26th shipping date.
Amazon Germany on the other hand already offers it for purchase with a delivery time of 1 to 2 weeks.
The 1GB iRiver U10 sells for 229,00 Euro and the 2GB iRiver U10 sells for 279,00 Euro.

The 1GB iRiver U10 on Amazon UK sells for £149.99 and the 2GB iRiver U10 for £189.99.
When the iRiver U10 will come to the United States is not known yet. iRiver America has at least already the product pages up for the U10. iRiver lists in the US a 512MB U10 for $199.99 and a 1GB U10 for $249.99. iRiver does not show a 2GB model on their site, what is up with that?

The iRiver U10 features  a compact design with the buttons integrated on the screen borders. The 2.2 inch screen has 320x240px (QVGA) resolution. The U10 plays MP3, WMA, ASF, OGG Q10, MP4, JPG, Text and Macromedia Flash Lite1.1. It measures 69x47x16mm and weighs 70g.

The docking station as shown in the photo below seems not to be available for purchase yet in Europe. The U10 is not bundled with it. The cool docking station allows to watch video like on a mini TV.
