Toshiba announced the Gigashot V10 at the CES 2005. Now the Toshiba 4GB HDD video camera will hit stores in Japan in October.

Toshiba will compete with the JVC Everio HDD camcorders already on the market since over a year. JVC is also already further with their new GZ-MG series, which feature hard-drives with 20GB and 30GB sizes.
The Toshiba Gigashot V10 (MEHV10) features a nice 5MP resolution allowing to record DVD quality video. Other features include a 2 inch LCD screen, 5x optical zoom and 20x digital zoom.
38.5x103.8x59.5mm are the measurements of the Gigashot V10. The Toshiba Gigashot V10 will ship on 21st of October for 59,800 Yen (~$530).
