Sony introduces two new Home entertainment PCs in Japan.
The VAIO Type X Living VGX-XL70S features 1TB of hard-drive storage. It comes with a wireless keyboard. The VGX-XL70S runs on a Intel Pentium D processor 820 (2.80 GHz) and sports a GeForce 6200 with HDMI interface. This AV PC also has a DVD writer.
The Sony VAIO VGX-XV80S is a hot digital video recorder featuring 8 tuners and up to 2TB of hard-drive space.
There is also a smaller VGX-XV40S with 4 tuners, but also with up to 2TB of storage.
Both systems are controllable via a PC connected via the LAN port.
This monster DVRs are most likely not going to be available outside of Japan for now.
