The Apple announcements yesterday at the PhotoPlus Expo are mostly exciting for photographers and designers.
Apple announced the software Aperture, which is first all-in-one post production tool that provides everything photographers need after the shoot. It works directly with RAW images.
Apple Aperture will sell for $499.00 and ships in 6 to 8 weeks. More details on the Aperture site (cool design!) and on LetsGoDigital.
In a rather strange move Apple announced new Power Mac G5 Dual and Power Mac G5 Quad PowerPC based desktop computers. Apple announced a while ago to switch to Intel CPUs. I guess Apple had this monsters already in the pipeline. Question is if customers who buy those new machines really make a good investment, as Apple will switch to Intel next year.
More details on the Power Mac page.
The Apple PowerBook notebooks have now more resolution.
