Sprint Nextel is supposed to launch a high-speed wireless network with the first Over-The-Air Music Download Service in the United States.
Associated Press (Thanks Larry R.) reports that Sprint Nextel is making major announcements on Monday and that the company already distributed EV-DO enabled Samsung phones to journalists for review.
Those phones have a Sprint Music Store configured that is offering downloads for $2.50 per song (Pricey!).
Update:
Sprint calls their new highspeed service Power Vision. The Power Vision site (Via Engadget) is online now at Sprint Verizon.
Sprint Nextel are behind competitors like Verizon or Cingular in the high-speed wireless network segment.
So it seems they are finally set to catch-up.
