More Portable Devices News
Apple announced today that they sold 1 million videos through their online store iTunes within 20 days.
Steve Jobs is quoted saying: "Selling one million videos in less than 20 days strongly suggests there is a market for legal video downloads". I strongly suspected that there is. Maybe more TV studios will get the message finally and offer their content for download, and please not just in 320x240px. We are going to pay for it and we want full resolution.
They did not say how many new iPods with video playback feature sold in the 20 days. Would be an interesting number to see the ratio of how many videos one iPod video user has downloaded.
Apple says they will broaden the offering.
More details in this Apple Press-Release.
