Handheld Video Player For under $100!! Announced

Handheld Entertainment a new silicon valley startup announced to bring to market this christmas a Personal Video Player (PVP) for under $100.
Handheld Entertainment assembled a team of industry veterans like
"The Father of MP3 Player" Mr. Nathan
Schulhof.
They also this week announced to have raised an undisclosed round of financing.
Singapore's EASTECH is manufacturing the low-cost handheld video player code named "mocking bird" for Handheld Entertainment.
The new PVP, which will be released by HandHeld Entertainment in time for Christmas 2003, will be the first PVP of its kind priced under $100. Roughly the size of a personal digital assistant (PDA), the PVP includes a full-color screen, uses external media and is targeted to eight- to 25-year-olds.
There are no technical details available, not even a real product photo of this
device. Current Personal Players are priced at around $400 like the
RCA Lyra and the
Archos AV300 series. To sell
such a device for under $100 will have sure a big impact.
