This some serious professional gear from Canon coming in 2006. The Canon HJ18e x 28b is a Super Telephoto lens for HDTV TV cameras selling for about $36,000.
The new Canon HJ18e x 28b weighs about 2.5kg, which is apparently only half the weight of its predecessor lens. It is also 90mm shorter. This lightweight super telephoto lens has super telephoto focal length of 1,000mm.
