Riddle: What is shown on this photo? Yes it is a close-up of the Xbox 360 CPU.
Hardware site AnandTech (via Endgadget) took the Xbox 360 apart and published many hi-res photos of the components inside the next generation Microsoft Xbox.
The Xbox 360 CPU even has the Microsoft logo on it. Anandtech writes that Microsoft has the license to manufacture the multi-core
IBM PowerPC chips.
The report is an interesting trip inside the Xbox 360, sure helps pass the time until launch day.
There are six more days until the Xbox 360 launch in the United States. Gaming blog Kotaku published some more Xbox 360 hands-on reports. Microsoft's CEO Steve Balmer expects a successful launch of the Xbox 360 - no kidding. Microsoft is aiming to sell 2.75 million to 3 million Xbox 360 units in the first 90 days after the launch date. Industry analysts say that this number is low, but this way Microsoft makes sure that they beat their Xbox 360 sales expectations.
