As mentioned in the Xbox 360 Europe Launch story earlier, I went briefly on location in downtown Munich, Germany to see if I could still by an Xbox 360.
And I could have (see photo). At 2pm in the afternoon there were still 3 Xbox 360 Core systems in a department store in the middle of Munich. Clearly the Xbox 360 Core is not that desirable. That there are still some available shows though that German Xbox 360 fans are still able to control themselves and that they are only looking for the Xbox 360 Premium system.
In the UK, the situation seems to be more comparable to what happened in the
United States. BBC News reports that the Xbox 360 has virtually sold out within hours today.
It was expected that the 300,000 Xbox 360 consoles available for Europe are selling out. Next milestone for Microsoft is the Xbox 360 launch in Japan on December 10th.
