CES 2006: Cornice Dragon Series Micro Hard Drive

The CES 2006 did not even start yet, but there are so many announcements that it this whole week will be about CES
related news and not much else.
Cornice for instance announced a new micro hard-drive product line with 8 and 10GB capacity for portable devices.
The new Conrice Dragon series micro hard drive is supposed the smallest and thinnest drive on the market. The hard-drives feature active latch, skip control and drop safety functions to optimize them for portable use.
Cornice actually provides the HDD in the Samsung SGH-i300 3GB Music phone.
The Cornice Dragon Series drive is available in volume quantities in Q1. List price is $85 per unit in quantities of 10,000 per year.
