CES 2006: Toshiba Gigabeat S Series PMP Announced

Toshiba launches a new Gigabeat portable media player powered by Freescale and Windows Mobile Portable Media Center software.
The new Gigabeat S series come in either 30GB or 60GB hard-drive configurations.
By using the Microsoft Windows Mobile Portable Media Center, the Toshiba Gigabeat S can seamlessly work together with Media Center PCs and with the Microsoft Xbox 360.
The Gigabeat S series features a 2.4 inch QVGA screen. Supported formats are WMA Lossless, WMA, MP3, WAV, WMV, and JPEG.
Toshiba uses the Freescale i.MX31 multimedia applications processor and the Freescale's MC13783 power management device for the Gigabeat S Series.

Update 05/01/06: Finally, DapReview has a couple photos of the Gigabeat S player from the CES.
The most recent Toshiba Gigabeat is the P5 and the P10. On the market in the US is the Gigabeat F Series.
