The Reuters reports that the Disney Board meets Monday to decide if and how they are going to buy Pixar Animation Studios.
Update:
Looks like the Disney Board confirmed the purchase of Pixar.
Last week the news broke that Disney is in talks to buy Pixar for $6.7 billion. The deal would make Apple's CEO Steve Jobs who also CEO of Pixar would become Disney's largest largest individual shareholder, which could be the basis for a board seat.
So we could potentially already know this week if Disney buys Pixar.
The movie Chicken Little was Disney's
first CG movie they released on their own. Pixar had released several movies with Disney. Pixar was looking for a new distribution partner, maybe that gave the final push for Disney to just buy them and become the leader in CG movies.
