Sony introduced two new 6MP digital cameras in the United States: DSC-W50 and DSC-W30.
The difference between the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W50 and DSC-W30 is the screen size. The DSC-W50 features a 2.5 inch screen and the DSC-W30 a 2.0 inch screen.
Both new Sony cameras feature enhanced light sensitivity. Supported light-sensitivity goes up to ISO 1000.
The icon based user interface has been made easier by adding text explanations when a function is selected.
Both cameras have 32MB of internal memory, which can be expanded further with an optional Memory Stick Duo media card or Memory Stick PRO Duo.
The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W50 will be available in early March for about $250, and the DSC-W30 is available this month for about $230.

The 8MP Sony DSC-N1 is still my favorite amongst the compact Sony cameras.
