Casio announces a 8.1MP compact digital camera in its Exilim line: EX-Z850.

The Casio Exilim EX-Z850 features a 2.5 inch screen with 1200cd/m2 brightness, 3x optical zoom lens, a flash that reaches 12.1m in darkness, anti-shake DSP and a battery life of 440 shots after the CIPA standard.
Casio made the new Exilim also pretty fast. Start-up time is 1.0s, shutter lag is 0.005 and photos can be viewed with 0.1s interval.
Video recording at 640x480 and 30fps is available as well as a maximal resolution for stills of 3264×2448px. The EX-Z850 measures 89mm×58.5mm×23.7mm and weighs 130g.
Casio will launch the EX-Z850 on March 17th in Japan.
