There was a rumor that Nintendo might change the name of their upcoming next generation console at the GDC 06, but Nintendo President Satoru Iwata still calls it Revolution.
The Nintendo keynote did not reveal any real big news, especially nothing earth-shaking new about the Nintendo Revolution. Mr. Iwata mostly rallied the game developer community to be creative and adopt the new controller concept to create new games.
One interesting announcement was that the Revolution will also play retro games from Sega Genesis and the TurboGrafx console. If you do not know the TurboGrafx console, neither do I. It was actually released in 1989 in the US by NEC. Read this Wikipedia entry for a background on this console.
The Nintendo keynote at the GDC 06 was also used to announce The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass game for the Nintendo DS. You can see the preview of the DS Zelda game here.
Find some more details in this Nintendo press-release about their keynote.
