Panasonic announces the DMP-BD10 Blu-ray disc player for the US market.

The price for the Panasonic DMP-BD10 will be below $1,500 (way to high, if you ask me) and will be shipping in fall together with the first 1080p Panasonic Plasma HDTVs. The Panasonic DMP-BD10 features EZ-Sync HDAVI control function, which makes it simple to connect and control multiple products, such as a Panasonic Plasma TV, Blu-ray Disc player and receiver.

As reported the Sony Blu-ray Disc player is available for pre-order under $1,000 and will ship in July.
