Microsoft and Toshiba announced the rather highly anticipated Gigabeat S at the CES 2006. Spring was giving as release date.

I was checking Amazon.com regulary to see if they start listing the Gigabeat S. Until now they did not. Other stores, most prominently Crutchfield have the Gigabeat S listed for pre-order. Dap Review runs a story about the giving release date shifting from March 27th to now May 31st. Well this date is still in spring, but come on.
It could be that Microsoft and Toshiba are synchronizing the launch with the Windows Media Player 11 release, which was said to be in the first half of 2006 along with the URGE.com music service.
