More Mobile Phones News
We mentioned it several times in the past that Japan will launch digital terrestrial TV broadcasts on April 1st 2006. Now the service is available.
BBC News reports that it is hard to actually find a T-DMB mobile phone in Japanese stores right now as only limited quantities are available.
The Japanese terrestrial digital TV service is the biggest in terms of potential users world-wide.
Currently normal TV programming is pushed over the service. Custom mobile TV content will be offered in the near term.
As reported Germany is supposed to have a T-DMB digital TV trial during the Soccer World Cup.
