Samsung announced that it has developed a 2GB MultiMediaCard (MMCmicro) that combines four 4Gbit NAND flash devices.
Samsung says this is the smallest, fastest and highest capacity memory card for mobile phones available.
The 2GB Samsung MMCmicro card measures 12x14x1.1mm and can operate at either 1.8V or 3.3V.
The Samsung 1GB MMCmicro will be commercially available in 2006. No release date has been set for the 2GB card.
