Korean robot companies are set to release several household robots onto the market this October each selling for around $1,000.
Yujin Robot's Jupiter, Hanool Robotics Corporation's Nettoro, IO Tech's Roboid, Samsung Electronics house-cleaning robot and Dasatech's robotic dog Genibo are apparently ready for Korean consumer homes this Autumn.
Jupiter and Nettoro are general household robots that also handle kids or clean. All robots are connected to the internet via the home network.
The Dasatech Genibo is supposed to fill the gap left behind by the Sony Aibo robot dog.
The Korean government aims at a 15% global market share in robotics, which would make them number 3 in the world.
