We reported about the Belkin N1 Wireless-N router already last week. Now Belkin has issued a official press-release with the details.
The Belkin N1 (F5D8231-4) has a cool design featuring an icon status display. The icon-based Network Status Display shows the status of your network. The icons represent each component of your network, indicating whether or not each device is working properly to help you easily troubleshoot - a nice gimmick.
It is of course also just a draft 802.11n router as all others on the market. Belkin cannot guarantee upgradeability, once the final 802.11n standard is finalized.
The theoretical throughput with 802.11n is 300Mbps. Belkin uses Atheros' XSPAN technology in the N1.
The Belkin N1 Wireless Router will sell for $149.99 and start shipping June 1st. The Belkin N1 Desktop Card F5D8001 sells for $119.99 and the Notebook Card F5D8011 costs $99.99.
More details on the Belkin N1 product page and in this press-release. Via Engadget.
