New Sony VAIO AR Blu-ray Notebook

Sony announces the VAIO AR Blu-ray notebook in the United States.
The Sony VAIO AR comes in two different configurations: Premium and Standard. The AR Premium version plays Blu-ray Disc high-definition content, so you can enjoy movies in full 1080p HD resolution.
An HDMI port lets you connect the VAIO AR to your HDTV to watch Blu-ray movies on the big screen and not just on the 17 inch notebook screen.
The 17 inch screen of the VAIO AR features a resolution of 1920 x 1200px. Windows Media Center Edition 2005 is running on a Intel Centrino Duo mobile CPU. Other features of the VAIO AR include NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 with 256MB, video camera and TV-Tuner (Not all models).
The Sony VAIO AR Premium is available in a high gloss, piano-black finish with silver trim and an illuminated VAIO logo. For the AR Premium Blu-ray Disc enabled model Sony wants about $3,500. Hey, they through in a free copy of House of Flying Daggers on a Blu-ray disc.
The standard VAIO AR sells for $1,800, but does not have the Blu-ray drive.
