Lenovo (the new owners of the IBM Thinkpad notebooks) announced a new sub-notebook dubbed Lenovo 3000 V100 - Why use two numbers in the product name? This cryptic nomenclature will also not get Lenovo back into US classified network (details).
The Lenovo V100 series features a 12.1 inch wide screen with 1200 by 800 WXGA resolution. It comes with either a Core Solo or Duo CPU running Windows XP Home or Professional Edition.
Other features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 1.3MP camera, fingerprint reader, play music without booting and a full sized keyboard.
The Lenovo 3000 V100 starts at $1,099 (Duo processor, 512 MB, 80GB HD).
MSNBC already reviewed the Lenovo V100.
