We've come a long way since the days of a few beeps and bops being the entire audio library of a video game. The Game Initiative has realized this and announced Friday that they will be sponsoring the world's first annual "Game Audio Conference" September 6-7 in Austin, Texas.
Sessions will include topics ranging from voice acting management to sound source acquisition. The Game Initiative will also be hosting the Austin Game Conference, Casual Game Conference, and Game Writers Conference during the same week.
Christopher V. Sherman, Executive Director of The Game Initiative sums up the event by saying, "The Game Audio Conference (GAC) is designed to elevate game audio development education, strengthen the community, and foster professional growth of the individual."
