Computex 2006: BenQ DMP300 Viiv Compatible Media Player

BenQ introduced the DMP300 digital media player supporting Viiv powered media PCs at the Computex 2006.
The new BenQ DMP300 runs the Mediabolic software and utilizes the Philips Nexperia media processor.
BenQ's DMP300 supports decoding of audio (MP3, WMA, PCM), image (JPEG, BMP, JPEG2000), and video (MPEG 1/2/4, WMV9, XviD) formats and codecs. It integrates a 10/100 Ethernet controller, support for 802.11 b/g wireless networking, and three USB 2.0 ports for additional connectivity. The device includes composite, S-video, component, and HDMI video output, and analog and S/PDIF digital audio output.
It is supporting Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) and Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) technologies besides Intel Viiv.
BenQ has already announced networked LCD TVs running the Mediabolic software.
The DMP300 Digital Media Player will be available for consumers in 2nd half of 2006 in Taiwan under the BenQ brand.
