Sony Officially Announces Alpha DSLR-A100

Details of the Alpha 100 Sony SLR camera started to leak yesterday. Today Sony officially announces the first Alpha branded SLR camera DSLR-A100.
Sony highlights the Dynamic Range Optimizer image analysis technology and the Bionz image processing engine in the first Alpha SLR camera.
The Sony DSLR-A100 camera provides high light sensitivity (up to ISO 1600) and Super SteadyShot image stabilization.
The 10.2MP Sony DSLR-A100 will be introduced with 19 Sony lenses.
The DSLR-A100 camera body will be available for about $900. The DSLR-A100K kit, which includes the camera body along with an 18-70mm zoom lens, will be available for about $1,000. Both ship in July.
