Somewhere along the way, speeding became the norm. "Speed limit" psychologically became "speed minimum". So when you get pulled over by a cop or a fixed camera catches your car, it's just bad luck and not a sign that you broke the law. Now, the INFORAD GPS Speed Camera Detector helps you avoid those costly speeding tickets.
As is evident by its name, the purpose of the Speed Camera Detector is mainly to alert you that fixed "speed cameras" are likely in the area. Right now, this is exclusively a UK product, so I assume speed cameras are more common on that side of the Atlantic. But the INFORAD device does also include another feature that's designed to actually prevent speeding.
With its GPS technology, the Detector knows what most of the speed limits are, and it can sense the speed your car is currently going. So, when you exceed the speed limit, the INFORAD Speed Camera Detector actually emits a continuous beep until you slow down to the speed you're actually supposed to be going.
Again, right now this product is only available in the UK, for £59.99 (over $115). (link)
