Samsung announces a new line of ultra slim mobile phones at the CommunicAsia 2006 in Singapore.
Looks like Samsung wants to make us forget that Motorola is the slim phone pioneer.
The new Samsung Ultra Edition line-up includes the Ultra Edition 6.9 (X820), Ultra Edition 12.9 (D900) and the Ultra Edition 9.9 (D830). The first number is the width of the phone in mm.
The Samsung X820 (Ultra Edition 6.9) weighs only 66g and is only 6.9mm thin. Features of the X820 include 2MP camera, music player, 1.9" 176x220 262K Color TFT screen and 80MB embedded memory.
The Samsung D900 (Ultra Edition 12.9) is the world's thinnest slider offering a 3.1MP camera.
The Samsung D830 (Ultra Edition 9.9) is a clamshell style handset featuring a 2.3" 240x320 262K Color TFT screen, Bluetooth and media player.
More details in this Samsung press-release. AkihabaraNews has several hi-res photos of Samsung models showing off the new Ultra-Edition.
