Doghouse Electronics announced today the launch of their new porable media recorder device, the RoverTv. RoverTv is a super slim TV that cuts back on size by having no built-in hard drive. That's not much of a problem, though, since it comes packaged with both a 2 GB and a 1 GB SD card.
The RoverTv can plug into virtually any media device, including a TV, DVD, CD, FM radio, computer, in addition to getting content from TiVo, iTunes, and more. It has support for MP3, MP4, WAV, JPEG, BMP, and GIF. It runs on SD cars and also has a USB port for easy transfers.
It also has AV output, so you can actually watch your recorded TV programs on your TV (who would have ever thought of that?) RoverTv also boasts being the only portable media player on the market "that fills the surface of the device with screen rather than controls."
RoverTv comes in two sizes -- 3.5 inch "big screen" and 4 inch "wide screen" -- which retail for $299 and $349, respectively.
