Maybe the critically acclaimed Table Tennis Xbox 360 game has sent a message to Microsoft's Peter Moore that gamers crave more games that are simplistic in nature. Or maybe he just doesn't anyone to miss out on the excitement of the 35th anniversary edition of UNO. Whatever the reason, Moore recently said that a retail SKU is being planned for the Xbox Live arcade titles.
Moore said that this move is to help better reach non-hardcore gamers. I'm sorry, but do many casual gamers actually own an Xbox 360? People who only want to play Hearts (which is a title that Moore specifically said would excite gamers) likely aren't going to be more interested in the 360 because of a new retail version of Bejeweled.
Even if an exhaustive compilation title was released, with all the Xbox Live Arcade games, I can't imagine it going for more than $19.99. Of course, pricing details and retail availability have not yet been released. The move is not even official yet.
