An increasing concern over the past decade has been whether or not cell phone radiation is bad for your health. A new study from Italian researchers shows that there is no conclusive evidence to prove this (unless you have a pre-existing medical condition).
The study focused on GSM phones, and included only young male subjects. 12 out of the 15 studied had "cells in the motor cortex adjacent to the cell phone [that] showed excitability during phone use but returned to normal within an hour."
In other words, there is a specific impact on your brain from exposure to the electromagnetic frequencies, but according to the study these impacts are really only evident while you're actually using your cell phone.
There's no way cell phones are going to die out, but it's always good to hear that we're not frying our brains when on the phone. Of course, results would be quite different for people who already have brain diseases like epilepsy.
