It's a story that spread like wildfire through the blogosphere over the past couple days. PS3 Land had reportedly heard directly from Track7 Games that they cancelled their PS3 version of Theseis due to excessive development costs.
Well now, Track7 has come forward and reportedly said, "We never began developing the game for PS3 in order to cancel development. We just made a strategic decision to not move ahead because we deemed it not probable at this time." They say what they originally told PS3 Land was a "joke".
That's very interesting, considering that GameStop put Theseis up for pre-order earlier this year. In fact, you can still put in an order for the PS3 version of Theseis at gamestop.com. It makes me wonder where GameStop got that information, if Track7 never had PS3 plans at all. That's just something for you conspiracy theorists to think about.
