EA Announces Wii Games

Electronic Arts just today gave an official announcement about 6 of its games that it's working on for the Nintendo Wii. EA Sports is getting in on part of the action, bringing out Wii iterations of Madden NFL and Tiger Woods PGA Tour. The rest of the announced games are Need For Speed, SSX, The Godfater, and Harry Potter. No official titles were revealed.
It seems that EA is more excited with the Wii than they were the Gamecube. "Everyone in the studio is energized by the creative opportunity afforded by both the (Wii) hardware and controller ... creatively, the game play possibilities are staggering and endless," EA General Manager John Schappert said in a statement.
Up to this point, EA has only released 36 games for Nintendo's Gamecube, versus 54 for the PS2 and Xbox. I'm interested in seeing how EA will divide their efforts in the next generation, since it's going to be more difficult to do entire cross-platform releases.
EA also said that they are working on other Wii games, which they will announce in the upcoming months. Of course, we don't have any release date info on these games because we still don't have one for the Wii.
