More Mobile Phones News
Motorola had one more new mobile phone announcement in their queue this week: the MOTOFONE.
As reported Motorola introduced the KRZR, RIZR and the RAZR MAXX this week.
The MOTOFONE looks the most intriguing though from the newly announced slim Motorola phones. With 9mm, it is Motorola's thinnest mobile phone as of yet.
The MOTOFONE's new user interface is built on icons and voice versus text. The featured ClearVision display leverages Electrophoretic Display (EPD) technology to provide users with a large, high-contrast screen that is viewable even in bright sunlight.
The difference between the MOTOFONE and the MOTOFONE F3c are subtle. Apparently the F3c supports 4GV audio codec and embedded polyphonic ringtones in 32 voices. The standard MOTOFONE supports polyphonic ringtones only with 8 voice.
Motorola targets emerging markets with the new MOTOFONE, that besides beeing the slimmest Moto phone, it is supposed also to be very low priced. The simplicity and size will also appeal though to early adopters and technology fans around the world, not just to new users in emerging market.
The MOTOFONE is expected to be available in Q4 of 2006 in both GSM and CDMA models.
More details about the MOTOFONE in this press-release and on this product page.
