In the digital age, there people out there with thousands of MP3 and video files, even though they've already bought the DVDs and CDs that the tracks come from. They spend a fortune on buying two copies of the same thing yet gasp at the idea of buying some kind of CD ripper app. Yes, Eric, my brother, if you're reading this I am talking to you.
For those media fanatics, there's the Pico CD / DVD Duplicator, a very impressive-looking CD/DVD ripper that can move files from as many as 25 discs with one command. Or, you can duplicate your discs at the rate of 12 per hour (CDs) or 6 per hour (DVDs).
You can have it rip your music to MP3, WAV, AIFF, or FLAC, and it will automatically retrieve all your track listing information. It's a nice, professional device that could be music to the ears of all iPod-toting teens.
However, it does come at a hefty price -- $699. So it's not for the casual music fan, but if you spend a lot of hours ripping individual files, and your time is valuable, this could actually be a worthwhile investment.
