In less than 2 hours Steve Jobs will take the stage in San Francisco to give his keynote speech at the Apple WWDC 06.
Everybody is of course excited to learn if there are more new things than the OS X Leopard. With the options irregularities issue hanging in the air, a cool new product announcement would draw away the attention from it - at least for a while.
On the other hand, why dilute the Leopard preview and announcements?
Keynote is over. Summary:
Intel Mac Pro, Intel Xserve and Leopard preview. No new iPods, no bloody iPhone, etc.

10:30 After MS trash talking Leopard preview: Leopard can run 64bit Apps and 32bit Apps natively side-by-side; no emulation
10:36 Leopard handles backup for users - dubbed Time Machine; supports document versioning based on timestamp; visually go back in time; find files from the past; restore anything; if this works as described it could be just amazing.
10:48 Spaces: Multiple Desktops feature in Leopard
10:56 Core Animation previewed
10:57 Universal access: Braille, Voice, closed captioning and more
11:00 Mail program enhancements: stationeries, to-do's, notes
