It's always fun to figure out what those one-letter prefixes that companies always attach to their product model numbers mean. In the case of Pentax, the "W" in their cameras seems to stand for "waterproof". The company seems to have found a niche in the underwater camera market, and they relish in it (as you can see in their cleverly Photoshopped promotional picture).
With 7 megapixels and a 4x digital zoom, you'll be able to take those seemingly out-of-reach underwater pictures with good clarity, provided you're only 1.5 meters underwater and don't stay there for more than 30 minutes.
There's only 22 MB of internal memory, but since the Pentax uses SD cards you won't pay an arm and a leg for expandable memory (*cough Sony memory stick cough*).
Our sister site Camborg has all the details.
