You've just got to love these Internet news stories. Google and MySpace were both started by a couple of tech-savvy guys and now they're huge enterprises involved in a near-billion dollar deal. It's been a big question: who will take control of the search and advertising operation of MySpace?
In what's being considered a huge blow for Yahoo and MSN, two vying competitors for the MySpace partnership, Google today officially became the one who will power all of the search and advertising done on the site.
This will tremendously help Google's flagship ad service, AdSense, which many have said has not yet realized its full potential. Well believe me, it will now, considering there are more than 73 million registered MySpace users who are potential targets.
