Inspired by the LogiNoki mouse with built-in LCD screen, Pyrofer modded his Nokia 6230i camera phone to be able to use it as a wireless PC mouse.
The hack uses the camera of the Nokia phone as tracking device. The Bluetooth interface is used to communicate with the PC or notebook.
There are still some issues making the phone really usable as a mouse replacement. The biggest issue is that you have to hold the mouse about 6mm above the surface. If the phone lies flat on the surface, the camera just sees darkness. The accuracy is of course also very bad.
Maybe it is an inspiration for Nokia to think about integrating a laser on the back of their phones to give travelers a wireless spare mouse inside their mobile phone.
