The WSJ just reports that apparently AOL is firing their CTO and two other employees over the Search Log the company released on the web.
As reported the search log data did contain enough data to identify people.
AOL hired Maureen Govern as its chief technology officer only about 1 year ago.
The CTO oversaw the AOL division responsible for the data release. The firing of employees is not really helping much I guess. It just brings the dark secret of search engine back into the lime-light.
