If you think Tiger Woods can keep a golf ball airborn for a long time, then you've got to check this out. A Russian flight engineer, Mikhail Tyurin, is going to whack a golf ball from outside of the International Space Station, where it will stay above ground for three days before finally landing on Earth.
The golf swing, which commemorates the 35th anniversary of Alan Shepherd hitting golf balls on the moon during Apollo 14, is a big publicity stunt from Canadian golf company Element 21.
The out-of-this-world swing will be made on Thanksgiving, November 23. It kind of makes you think that next year's Masters tournament should be played in outer space, doesn't it?
