While everyone's still a bit disappointed that Nintendo didn't announce any launch details at the Leipzig Games Convention, the main guy there, from Nintendo of Germany, did essentially confirm a European price ceiling for the console, much like the "less than $250" commitment Nintendo of America made. He said that he "expects" the Wii to launch for less than 250 euros, which is roughly $330.
The German Nintendo guy, Bernd Fakesch, also said that the exact launch date has still not been finalized, but assured us that it will be appearing "in due time". Do you think they actually still don't know when the Wii will launch? Or are they just jerking us along to ensure that speculation will still be good viral marketing for them?
