Canon introduces a 10.1MP follow-up model to the Canon EOS Rebel XT dubbed Rebel XTi or Kiss X (in Japan).

Other features of the new sub-$1,000 SLR from Canon include a 2.5 inch screen, ISO setting range 100 - 1600 and unique integrated cleaning system.
The EOS Digital Rebel XTi camera will be available for an estimated selling price $899 with the zoom lens kit, while the body only kit will carry and estimated selling price of $799 mid-September. The Canon Rebel XT will get cheaper then.
